Call for Individual Consultants for Use Monitoring of Electric Cookstoves in Under the “Sustainable Market Development of e-Cooking in Nepal” Project in Gandaki (Province)
Practical Action is a global change-making group that consists of a UK-registered charity with community projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, an independent publishing company, and a technical consulting service in Nepal, Practical Action is focused on three key areas: Farming that works, Energy that transforms, and Resilience that protects. Under Energy that transforms, Practical Action is implementing Sustainable Market Development of e-Cooking in Nepal (SMDeN) project in coordination with National Association of Community Electricity Users Nepal (NACEUN), Namsaling Community Development Center (NCDC) and Dhaulagiri Community Resource Development Center (DCRDC). The project is aiming to promote efficient electric cooking in 26000 households in 17 districts of two provinces: Gandaki and Koshi Province.
Practical Action in coordination with Dhaulagiri Community Resource Development Centre (DCRDC) (Implementing partner) invites qualified individuals to conduct a use monitoring survey for electric cooking appliances promoted under the SMDeN project. This consultancy involves engaging with individual households, collecting data, and collaborating with field teams in designated project areas.
Scope of Work:
• Conduct a monitoring survey of individual households who purchased and use electric cooking appliances under the SMDeN project in the assigned project locations.
• Visit each household, conduct monitoring interviews as per the provided Monitoring Form in KOBO toolbox.
• Coordinate and communicate with the associated field staff from partner NGOs.
• Coordinate and communicate with the assigned location’s associated Partner NGO, Last Mile distributors (LMDs) and Community Rural Electrification Entities (CREEs).
• Submit duly completed monitoring forms and necessary information to the associated partner NGOs.
• Maintain a high level of behavior in the community following standard policies of Practical Action.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of +2 level in any discipline.
• Having Android smartphones and ability to operate digital applications.
• Willingness to travel extensively in diverse locations.
• Priority will be given to local/female candidates.
• Priority will be given to candidates having experience in similar assignment.
